Texas Wine Growers is a 501(c)(6) non-profit organization whose mission is to promote and protect the integrity of Texas Wine by making wines solely from grapes grown in the Terroir of Texas.
We believe that Texas is becoming one of the great wine regions in the world, and we are committed to helping Texas winemakers achieve their full potential. We do this by:
- Educating consumers and industry professionals about the unique terroir of Texas and the importance of using 100% Texas-grown grapes in winemaking.
- Supporting research and education to advance agricultural processes of winemaking in Texas.
- Advocating for policies that support the Texas agriculture and the strong economic impact of the Texas wine industry across the state.
Texas Wine Growers is dedicated to celebrating Texas Wine as a unique agricultural commodity. As such, in order to be called a Texas Wine, it cannot merely be produced in Texas. Rather, to be considered a Texas Wine, it must be made from 100% grapes that are grown in the soil of the great state of Texas.
